Criminal Activity
Gaulden’s criminal activities have been consistent both before and after his professional career. In November 2016, he was arrested for a crime in Austin, Texas. He had jumped out of a car and opened fire on a crowd of pedestrians. In the end, he was jailed for two counts of attempted murder in the first degree. Gaulden, who pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of aggravated firearm assault, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and 3 years active probation. The former was suspended. In early 2018, Gaulden was arrested for assault, kidnapping and weapons violations. He was then released on bail.
Gaulden, who was on probation in 2019 when he was shot at by the suspect driving a black Cadillac Escalade, returned fire. Gaulden’s charges for the shooting were dropped, but he was found guilty of violating his probation because he was with Trulondrick Norris and Ben Fields. He was then sentenced to 90-days in jail and banned from performing during his 14-month house arrest. Gaulden was arrested again in Baton Rouge in September 2020. He was one of 16 people who were arrested for drug manufacturing, distribution and possession of stolen firearms. Gaulden was again arrested the following year for a federal warrant. He tried to avoid it by running away on foot after federal agents attempted to stop his car. Gaulden was found innocent of federal firearms charges in July 2022. In March 2023 the restrictions on his house arrest were lifted, allowing him to have more than three guests at once without any curfew.
Personal life
Gaulden has eleven children with nine different women. Two of his sons, Kacey, and Kayden, were featured in the music video of “Kacey Talk” by Gaulden. He married Jazlyn Hayes, his long-time partner and mother of both of his children in January 2023.
Gaulden stated that he intends to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints after his ankle monitor has been removed.
